Book Concept
The Quick Fix (A Simple Process for Positive Change) is a non-threatening alternative to traditional to traditional methods of substance abuse and behavioral disorder recovery. It allows the mainstream reader to benefit from the most successful methods of self discovery, recovery, and transformation known to man without being, and living in, total life, health, and mental chaos.
It is, and always has been easier for our society to remain in denial as to the severity and effects of Substance and Behavioral Abuse issues on our population. When the truth is 60 to 90% of the population of this country suffers from, or is affected by, Substance Abuse and/or Behavioral Disorders to some extent with only the bottom 1 or 2% of that estimation being sick and dysfunctional enough to say, “My name is_______ and I am an Alcoholic, Addict, Overeater, Gambler” or whatever the symptom may be. Then there’s another 4 to 5 % of this estimation who are in complete denial, and if confronted, will tell you to stay out of their life. They’re convinced they really don’t have a problem.
With this in mind you can see that the large majority of the afflicted population is left seemingly without a place to belong in this very categorized recovery spectrum. Perhaps you know someone, for instance, that hasn’t, and may never, hit some unbearable low in their life. They haven’t lost everything, maybe some self-respect, maybe some self-esteem, but the majority of their life is still intact. However, they’re fully aware that their life, their relationships, their business, and/or state of mind might be much better if they could just put down that Substance or not be engulfed by participating in that negative Habit or Behavioral Disorder. At this time they just long to be the best that they can be, not only for themselves, but for those they love as well. Other than the traditional programs, 12-step processes etc.., what are their options, maybe religion, self-reliance, self-discipline, and/or traditional therapy (a very long, hard
expensive road)?Perhaps you know someone that has already gone these routes and found them to be very difficult, frustrating, costly, and not very efficient or effective in the short term.
IF WE KEEP DOING WHAT WE’RE DOING WE’LL KEEP GETTING WHAT WE’RE GETTING
If everyone in this country were to work the 12 steps of alcoholics anonymous this Nation would be a better place. However, that’s never going to happen simply because the large majority of the population (98% or more) is never going to seemingly qualify for the 12 step programs and therefore never be willing to take the needed actions suggested by the 12 steps. Alcoholics Anonymous, the original 12 step program, was created for people that are either going to participate or die. It was not designed for the general public. We ask “Could presenting the same information differently appeal to more people?”
At this time only a small portion of individuals are willing to admit to being alcoholic/addict and to participate in and/or listen to recovery programming. And those that are ready and willing to listen are already in a program of recovery (singing to the choir).
IF WE WANT SOMETHING DIFFERENT WE MUST DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT
Still today the stigma and connotations, associated with the terms Alcoholic, Addict, God, and Recovery, for most, are really undesirable and an instant turnoff yet the industry persists. We ask “Could presenting the same information differently change more lives for the better?”We believe the answer to be a resounding yes!
Right now this country needs an answer, and that answer is “The Quick Fix” (A Simple Process for Positive Change).
The Quick Fix (A Simple Process for Positive Change) provides the reader with alternative actions and reactions to daily living and circumstances while at the same time allowing them to uncover, discover, and discard what they think they know, open themselves up to what can be and change their desires, perceptions, and outlook on life from the inside utilizing the simple outlined tasks i.e. Check List, Quick 10 etc… and effortlessly listening to the Positive Chat Power Guided Meditation CD’s (free with purchase).By doing so they are open to being inspired intuitively with a thought or decision by the perfectness of the universe.
The magic of this process is that Bradley combines the power of guided positive thought, contrary actions, daily affirmations and direct toll free support while providing solutions for the reader to any and all on the spot circumstances. The reader easily ends up with newfound intent, purpose, motivation and well being. The very power of this process is: Mind Skills Mastery, Newfound Desires. Amazing Personal Confidence, Daily Motivation and Inspiration, Easy Problem Solution Alternatives, Purposefully Directed Effort, A Life Changing Daily Agenda, Positive Fulfilling Affirmations, Rewarding Mental and Physical Exercise, Healthy Nutritional Guidance.
Bradley says the two great sources of human suffering at present are bodily disease and mental anxiety. He asks;”is it possible for a human to fundamentally change his or her behavior?”A look at the word around us might suggest that the answer to this question is sadly and emphatically, “no.”Everywhere we look in our society today, it seems that people are doomed to repeat unskilled patterns of behavior that lead to nothing but suffering – for themselves and others. However, Bradley’s experience suggests otherwise. Bradley’s answer is a resounding “Yes!” He has found that circumstances and environment follow the trend of mental and spiritual progress; he finds that growth follows knowledge; action follows inspiration; opportunity follows perception; always the spiritual first, then the transformation into the infinite and illimitable possibilities of achievement.
